Cristian Romero, Tottenham Hotspur’s key centre-back, has confirme.
That he wants to stay and help the club despite recent news linking him with a move to another team.
Romero has been a key player for Tottenham since joining from Atalanta in the summer of 2021, but has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months, with the 26-year-old Argentine defender now out in the open about his future at Spurs.
“I don’t have any other clubs in my mind ,” the 26-year-old centre-back. “I have a lot of respect for Tottenham, they’ve always show ทางเข้า ufabet me I’m an important part of it, so I’m happy to stay at Spurs.”
“I hope we can win the championship this year. That’s my mission and my main goal,” Romero concluded.
The former Genoa and Juventus defender only played one season for Atalanta before moving to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The 23-year-old has explained his decision to leave Bergamo.
“Giovanni (Lo Celso) helped me adapt quickly and I have him as a team-mate at club and country,” Romero said.
“He’s a great friend and it’s obviously helpful to have someone like him here. When we played together for Argentina.”
“But he didn’t influence my decision to move. It was my decision to come to Tottenham because it’s a big club in the best league in the world.”
Since moving from Atalanta to Spurs in 2021, Romero has been a key player in the team’s defence, making 98 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals, and his impressive form has led to speculation linking him with a move to Madrid.
For Romero, he is contracted to Spurs until 2027 and is valued at around £60m.
